Would anyone here choose a TV chat show eg Jeremy Kyle as the appropriate forum for announcing the paternity of their child? It baffles me.

Think it is something to do with morals and intelligence ...or lack of !
On the odd occasions I have watched 'car crash TV' - Jeremy Kyle / Trasha / Jerry Springer etc., I have to remind myself that yes, there really are people queuing up to disucss their intimate lives in front of strangers on a TV show.

So, my wife says to me "We've been together twenty-six years now, but there's something I've never told you ...."

And I say "OK, I'm listening ,,,"

And she says "Actually, I'm going to tell you on one of those 'car crash TV shows ..."

And I say "I don't like this dream, can I wake up now?"

So, i think the short answer to your Question is "No."
Never!

I have caught the odd show over the years & found it far too cringeworthy to make it a regular viewing pleasure ;o)

It never ceased to amaze me that there are people out there completely unable to communicate with each other and obviously lacking the common sense to get a DNA test elsewhere.

Mind you I have probably missed the point...these shows are about 'entertainment' and the folk who go on there are just after their 15 minutes of fame ~ regardless of who they hurt. However all parties have to agree to go on the show. When I asked Mr Pippa if he would go on there he displayed the same reaction as andy. Guess I am going to have to tell him all to his face!
In the US it's known as "Nuts and *****" TV - says it all!
The **** word is SIuts
It baffles me why people watch these programmes.

Hi Ethel, it's because as Andy says, it's car crash TV - something you don't want to look at but once you see it, it becomes horribly compelling. The only way to avoid them is not to switch on in the first place. I find pressing that little 'off' button very difficult, like logging off from AB.
I have to say I love Jeremy Kyle, particularly when he's totally on someones side and is kicking off at another party only to get the full story and end up having to backtrack!!!!
