A young girl was locked in a cellar or something and an older girl came to save her. The young girl couldn't/would't speak or co-operate with the older one trying to help her. The man who was going to kill them both (the father? I'm not sure) went off somewhere in his truck so the older girl spent this time trying to get the pair of them out of the house which i think was all made of wood. There were some vicious dogs too which she managed to fend off and one of the dogs went smashing through a window and died. The girl left the younger girl to try and get some help and she flagged down a policeman who then got killed by the man who was on his way back to his house to kill these girls. The older girl managed to kill the man and went on to try and adopt the younger girl (who had been put in a home/hospital) but the authorities weren't going to let her. The younger girl would only communicate with the older one who had saved her. Then I can't remember what else happened!

Sorry this is completely vague but I watched it late one night and I enjoyed it but can't remember what it was called and would like to see it again. Any ideas???

Intensity based on the book by Dean Koontz!

I love it!
Actually thinking about it, it may not be intensity, I'm struggling to remember the end! The plot sounds similar though!
