Does nobody remember Duncan Dares? Where the intrepid Blue Peter presenter/bad stuntman, Peter Duncan would risk life and limb doin stunts and stuff really pi$s-poorly?

The comedy value alone makes him my number one!

John, Peter and Lesley.

Ahhh... and the lovely Caron Keating.

And Janet Ellis cos i liked her hair.

It was Rio Ferdinand WM and I think Dennis Wise
i have to say mark curry was the best of my era but also liked the others of my time....as they came before presenters were enstiled with the fact they have to shout at viewers. Diane louise jordan was good, anthea turner was just good to laught AT, and katie hill well....lets just say i was v annoye when found out she was getting married!!
The classic line up from my childhood was Peter Purves, Lesley Judd and the genius that is John Noakes. Foxiest presenter though has Janet Ellis - who is still much better-looking than that cat-eyed daughter of hers. :-)

Mind you, if you wanted really foxy presenters, you had to turn over to Magpie when your mum went into the kitchen for a fag. Susan Stranks? Jenny Hanley? Ooh, I was a right little perv when I was seven.
Ha ha ha! Simon Groom: "Are there any smokies in the area?" Ha ha ha!

I think my favourite would be Peter Duncan, although I grew up with John Noakes, Peter Purves and Leslie Judd. Michael Sundin was also very good, although he was unpopular with the viewers.
Peter Duncan lost it in the cool stakes for me when he became chief scout.

No, W~M, there was a rumour that it was Les Ferdinand not Rio, a rumour which he actually denied after initially owning up to it as a joke.

Who knows when he was actually telling the truth?

Sorry, W~M, that should have been Dot who I was correcting! My humblest apologies!
Konnie Huq and Janet Ellis what a lovely pair.....l

Im only 14 so i dont know many but it has to be Matt Baker!
I met him when i was at a roadshow recently and managed to get his autograph! (only after i chased him madly, screaming his name!)

Sarah Greene.
John Noakes (Get down Shep!) / Peter Purves and Val Singleton (aged 21....+ 21 +...)

john noakes and patch, val singleton and petra

peter purvis and freda the tortose

autographs of all in 1970 BP book including jason

John Noakes was most memorable for me. I saw him crying when Shep died. That was so sad, and I met him once when he opened a new garage in Nairn. He was a lovely man.

I can't believe no-one has mentioned current presenter Zoe Salmon. I'm sure she's reintroduced a lot of Dads to Blue Peter...

It was Les Ferdinand who destroyed the BP garden.

For my generation - a few years younger than most of these posts hehe - it has to be the stuart miles, tim vincent and katie hill crew!
Zoe Salmon she looks like me.
