You guys know the show on itv, called the mint? Well did anyone watch it last night, and do they know what the answer was to the number question:

''add the numbers:

six hundred multiplied by sixty divided by six ''

???

It was followed on from saturday night, no one got the answer so they moved it on to sunday night. It's seriously killing me I need to know the answer lol. I thought it would either be 0 or 172. I know its petty but it's something i need to know.

haha, cheers.

If you expect the answer to be anything that actually makes sense or can be genuinely produced from the question, then you've obviously never seen these rip-off quiz programmes before. The sooner ICSTIS (the premium-rate phone lines watchdog) clamp down on these cons, the better.

The number questions annoy me, it could really be anything, such a trick question. There is no right answer!! Grrrrrrr!

I do have to admit to liking the other word guessing games though. I even rang a couple of times.

You'd also probably have to take into account the 600 x 60 (36,000) and also the divided by 6 (6,000) , plus including all the letters that could also be Roman numerals etc.etc. hen add all these together and at the end of it all, theres probably no real answer -if anyone does get what theyre after, I would very much doubt they would be put through to the show - Im just very cynical of these shows.
4240

The answer is "4240".

But what I want to know is HOW the Hell they figured that out?

Personally, I was thinkin' 546 or 666. But I'm bummed!

Does anyone know how the answer is worked out as 4240?

Jack

the show "The Mint" on itv is ********** i played it 40 times one night & all i got was "Shortlisted" the ansers a the most unobvious in the world it looks the part but its fake i was a idiot by playing it & i wont ever again SO BE WARNED...!!!

I was wondering how they arrived at 4240 too. Apparently the answer was 'accidentally' flashed up on screen on a previous night which is probably how the winner got it. Here's a link with a possible solution:

If indeed they flashed the answer on screen, then that is a joke. Seriously, that is a right joke!
