Did anyone see that comedian, who was wearing womens jeans, on Jonathan Ross last night? I know this sounds really stupid because usually I can make my own mind up, but I can't decide whether he was side splitting hilarious, or a pain in the rear. By the way, this is a serious question, I'm on the fence with this one.

Question Author

I'm tending to lean towards that theory, but the jury's still out. He could have potential. Bit of originality, but I think he's trying to be Johnny Depp out of Pirates.

I saw him years ago on an mtv channel & uk play and tipped him for bigger things.

he walks a narrow line & doesnt seem to care what people think.

yes he's the guy who does BB show on E4 and he's a pr*ck on that but he was even worse last night and i turned it off

i know exactly what you mean by you weren't quite sure if you liked him or not. Some of the stuff he said was very funny but at the same time his whole demeanour(sp) was irritating. Was it me or did anyone think he was trying to speak like a Dickens character? Got the feeling he thought he was auditioning for oliver! It was starting to really annoy me. original i suppose but i don't think i could have stood him for much longer. I think it was pretty obvious that JR thought he was a bit of a tw@t

does anybody think he could be Laurance Llewelyn-Bowen's son
What was his name?

russel brand

the whole cockerney dickens thing is part of his act. he uses it and other voices/ accents to make cheeky comments more palatable and surreal - he sounds like dot and jim from eastenders sometimes...

i think hes quite funny

Ahhh yes! I know who you are all talking about. I watched him on Big Bro's Big Mouth last year, couldn't work out what I thought of him really. He was funny at times but other times he was just down right annoying!
Hmm I wasn't impressed by him. Thought he was a ****head! I love Jonathan Ross and am always willing to give all his guests a go, but he was something else. I didn't think he was funny and he was really false. I turned the telly off after a few minutes as I found it really cringy to watch!
I think he is absolutely hilarious

When he was on MTVs Dance Floor Chart 3 or 4 years ago I thought he was brilliant - adlibbing and having surreal chats with tripped-out clubbers in Ibiza.

So I'd say he's eccentric rather than pretentious. Well, he can't be any less funny than Patrick Kielty can he?

I was going to post the same question! I have to say though that when I was telling a friend about him today, I was singing his praises. I thought he was original, clever, articulate and didn't take himself very seriously which is a change from most celebs. I would watch him again if I knew he was on something.

Also, just loved the voice and some of the phrases he came out with. Yes, he did sound like a refugee from Oliver! but I thought this was natural and not rehearsed like a lot of guests on this type of show.

Is the JR show repeated at any time?

First saw him on BBBM last year and thought he was OK. Maybe a little annoying at times, or perhaps just difficult to get used to. Most of my friends thought he was a complete...

Now I have heard a bit more from him than just that show and have seen a bit more of his character I think he is quite nice and is very funny. He is refreshingly different from the 'alternative' comedy scene of recent years, a la LIttle Britain, and is just a clever guy, being himself and being very witty.

I also got the impression that Jonathan Ross actually came to like and understand him more during the interview and didn't get the impression he thought him an idiot at all. If anything, I think he brought out the comedian in JR and thought they actually had a good and witty dialogue going, making one of his better comedic interviews.

i think he is beautiful and funny.

areebaareeba...........i couldnt agre more!!

i found him a slow starter on JR but in the end i feel as though they had a really good banter going on!!

i personally think he is hilarious, i was a bit taken aback that he use to be a smackhead and i am glad he is turning himself around!!

i loved him, thought he was refreshingly different.

loved the dickensian type talk too.... couldn't decide for ages which was he swung so was pleased and shocked when he told Jonathan he loved all the ladies.... x
