Is is just me getting old and looking through rose tinted specs or is TV these days really rubbish?

When I was younger I seem to remember actually enjoying some programs but recently there hasn't been anything worth watching.

In particular, comedies - there are no british comedy programs which makes me laugh. There used to be stuff on that made me laugh until i cried.

Maybe I'm becoming a miserable old git.

TV is better nowadays with far more choice but with this wider choice comes a heck of a load more crap !
There are too many Bargain Hunt, Boot Sale Challenge type programmes on these days. There isn't much variety...well if you're parents won't pay for Sky! Grrrrr.
Nothing made in britain all the best stuff (and believe me I hate to admit this is american) The only british programming i watch is "Eastenders" (just to laugh at it) "Top Gear" (best programme going) and "Dr Who" (sci-fi geek) When they make a new series phoenix nights/max and paddy (filmed down the road from me) Red Dwarf(although the last series was questionable) Long gone are the days of quality british programmes. Its all reality tv rubbish.
