Has anyone noticed Derren Brown using the 'F' word in his current C4 series? He does it in the voiceover, not when he's speaking to other people. I'm not offended, just curious as to whether there's some purpose...

I've noticed this and I must admit my mother was slightly shocked after hearing this. I don't think it has any real purpose for the show except the fact that he can get away with it.

When I went to see him live in Cardiff it was as if I was watching a slimmer version of Roy Chubby Brown, with the amount of F words he was using.

Strange. It seems out of place, and I don't remember it in his first series.
So the gardener can swear

Yes, I noticed this too the other night in what was merely a linking voiceover. It thus seemed rather gratuitous, and really quite bizarre in the vaudeville-type context of his show. Maybe it's an attempt to appear more "edgy" and down with the kids, but Brown lacks the acerbic verbal dexterity of a John Cleese-in-his-prime.

Aside from that, good show and I generally like the guy.
