70's/80's Sat morning US teen TV show?

Does anyone remember a US television show from the late 70's early eighties. I think it was on ITV on Saturday mornings. If I remember right it was based in california on the beach/coast. It was about a bunch of teenagers and one of the lead characters has a yellow, customised (perhaps lightening on the side or something?) sport car.

'Fraid that one has slipped me by, but you can try http://tv.cream.org/ - they have an a-z listing of programmes from the 'cream' era - late 50's to late 80's or they have a message board where people can ask about those pesky forgotten titles. They are (mostly) harmless ...
