'The Descent' ending!

I recently watchd the film the descent and thought it was good but the ending threw me a little. No one i know understood it either. Why does she end up back in the cave?

I saw this film last year and I was confused too!

I think she died as well and was going to 'heaven' to meet her daughter.

I thought she was just hallucinating that she had escaped...

When she comes out the hole into the open, I can't believe that there are bones just beneath there that no one has discovered, so I don't think that bit is real. She must be hallucinating as said above, or dead!

Yes, I don't think she left the cave, except in her mind. She was doomed.

The ending ruined the entire film for me, I'd definately wasted the last hour and a half of my life !.

To be honest I thought Dog Soldiers was one of the worst films I've ever seen so I should have expected The Descent to suck :(
