Does anybody remember a series in the 80's called something like 'Automan'? The hero was a man in a TRON-style suit, fighting crime with a flying microchip (bear with me on this...) that could draw him a super-car... I seem to be the only person who remembers this particularly bad programme, please tell me I'm not!!

it's okay Gigadave you're not crazy, I remember it too.
Yes Yes!! :o) He was a cute square faced type with 'Cursor' the little flying-light. Also, Walter Automan's creator played by Paul Reiser! I LOVED that show!!!
I thought Walter was played by Desi Arnaz Jr. ? Anyway - Chuck Wagner was Automan.

Could his car turn right angles at great speed, if it could then i remember it as well. Saturday tea time show?
I used to love this programme (and the car)! One of the main jokes seemed to be that the car would turn at right angles and Walter would get thrown against the window. I also remember that cursor could make a helicopter as well as the car. I seem to recall that Automan was made up of different detectives, like Sherlock Holmes. By the way according to http://tv.cream.org/ it was Desi Arnaz Jr. who played Walter.
