No idea!! They could have at least given him a part with less lines. Orlando Bloom and Jason Isaacs were both quite respectable though, as was the Irish bloke from Hart's War which I saw last night. Any others we can name who have done dreadful American accents, or Yanks who have done rubbish Englsih accents?

Don Cheadle (Black American) playing a Cockney in Ocean's 11 was nothinng short of criminal. There wasn't even any need for him to be a Cockney; I think the actor had been to London once and fancied himself as a master of accents.

Just thought of another one. Jason Statham's Tough guy US accent in The One (with Jet Li) was AWFUL! Minnie Driver does a good american accent though, and Higgins from Magnum P.I does a good upper class english one, concidering he is from Texas!!
