I think it was seven.

yep, seven series, 1985 - 92. 176 episodes in total

(the excellent and very useful Radio Times Guide to TV Comedy gives 178 episodes, but that includes two 60-minute 'specials'...)

I loved this series so much..........occasionally they have repeats on Sky.

I wasn't a Golden Girl when it finished, but am one now !!! Blanche was my favourite !!
