In Shrek 2 the ugly step sister has 2 different voice. One is an American guy(his name escapes me) and the other sound suspisously like Jonathan Ross. I have seen both version with both voices. Does any one know why the voice was changed and is it Ross's voice.

Thanks for your time

Larry King was the voice in the U.S version of Shrek 2 However good old wossy voiced the ugly stepsister/barmaid in the U.K. version.
Also, Joan Rivers' voice was replaced by that of Kate Thornton in the UK release.

Don't know why!

It was thought that if they used a British celebrity as a guest voice in the film when it was released over here, that it would be more appealing to British audiences. They did the same in Robots, with Robin Williams and Ewan MacGregor. The villian of the film had his father strung up in a disused robot factory and in the British release, Terry Wogan provided the voice! Personally, although I love both Tel and Jonathan, it wouldn't have made the films any less likeable if all the voices had been the original ones. Hope that sort of answers your question!

I think I prfered Wossy to Larry King. It seemed to suit better. I haven't seen Robots yet so I don't know about that. I think what made me wonder is that Ross was not in the credits. Ty for that anyway.

here's a link for IMdb that states that there is an extra credit at the very end of all the credits with Jonathon Ross mentioned.
