Wireless Internet connection

I have a wireless router, but I can't connect to the internet through it. I want to connect a laptop and a computer, both of these can connect to the internet through wires. I am wondering if I need some sort of graphics card. Help needed asap

Not to ask a silly question hopefully, but you do have wireless adaptors for both the laptop and PC (they are extra bits -sorry if that is a bit lower but thought I best start there!)
Graphics card should really have no bearing on the problem.
Presumably if you have the bits above, and have followed the instructions and its still not working then there could be something wrong with the router itself. Is it a broadband router, do you have broadband?
Is the router acting as the hub? how do you connect to the internet currently? is it just via normal modem? Does the router work fine and do you use this to connect laptop/PC via wires to the net?
Any more details?
I'm not sure what sort of wireless adaptors I need. I don't think that either the laptop or computer have them already. I don't think that they do. What sort of adaptor do I need. I've registered the laptop and computer IP addresses (I think that's what they are called) with the ISP so they both work when they are wired to the internet. It is a broadband router and I already have an external broadband modem.
The broadband wireless router should therefore replace the current router. That would enable you to have both wired and/or wireless broadband to your laptop or PC (so you could wire your pc to the router if near, and then wirelessly enable the laptop). there should be instructions with the new one to help you do this.
The wireless adaptors are usually about �20-30 each.

I have a BT broadband wireless router. My PC is fitted with a USB wireless adaptor which connects wirelessly to the wireless router, and my laptop has a built-in wireless card -but for the latter you can buy an adaptor which slots into one of your networking points on the laptop and maybe even into a USB slot on your laptop
