I hadn't been for at least 16 years or more.
So understandably i was a tad apprehensive, expecting lots of noise and loads of ads.
Well would you believe me if I said the audience were completely silent and there were no ads?
The film was called 'Triangle of sadness'.

I went quite recently to see The Banshees - a real gem of a film. Set in rural Ireland - a bit funny a bit sad totally captivating. Well deserving of the 4 BAFTAS.
When A Star is born was released.2018. I dragged Mr T there. He was not impressed. Our cinema here is like sitting in someone's front room. It's so small.
I think I went just to see a large Bradley Cooper.
The last time I went to the cinema was to watch Fierce Creatures, with my friend's 11-year-old son, in Clacton 26 years ago. I hardly ever watch movies, even on telly, DVD or streaming. ( I can't recall watching any at all in 2022). I really must watch some of those DVDs that I keep buying one of these days!
1998
november last year i went to see matilda
A few weeks ago - went to see the Whitney Houston film at an Everyman cinema.
I think it was 1996, to see GoldenEye.
Mine were a few years ago five I think... Bohemian Rhapsody.
Can't remember what year, but the film was Airplane.
Just had to look up the year of The Tigger Movie; so 2000 for me (think I enjoyed it more than 6 year old daughter).
1971, James Bond. It just don't interest me. I don't bother to much with films on TV either. It might be because most of them are predictable, and I can guess what road they are going to take.
Last year.
November 2019 just before covid. OH wanted to see Le Mans 66 for his birthday, also called Ford v Ferrari. An exciting film but I don't really like the cinema, find it a bit claustrophobic these days.
Last time I went was to see Saturday Night Fever
Can't believe it must have been about 20 years ago! I went to see Walk the Line - Johnny Cash's story. Suppose, when local cinema closed, I lost interest in going to see films.
The last time I went to a nightclub, was to see Mr Cash, Hazlinny :0>
Can't recall the exact year, but i'm convinced it was a late 70s Clint Eastwood film of the Dirty Harry series..
^^ wish I'd been clubbing with you!!
seeing a film in the cineam is expensive especially for a couple or family when streaming is so cheap.
its only worth it IMO if its something with big effects or something you cant get on stream, or something you simply must see on the forst day
