how do you sign in to it? Trying to watch I'm A Celebrity.

Have you got an ITVX account? If not, sign up here by using the 'Register Now' button at the foot of the page:

How you sign in will then depend upon which device you're using but it's basically the same as signing into AB or any other site. i.e. you click/tap/select a 'Sign-in' option (if you're not already seeing it), fill in your username and password and click/tap/select 'Enter'/'Go' or whatever it's called on your device.

(If you're using a device that's not got a keyboard, entering letters and digits is usually achieved by using the up/down buttons on your remote control to select a required character and the forward/back buttons to move between characters. Then click the 'OK' button).

Is this new? I watched Emmerdale on itv hub recently and didn't have to sign in.

ITV Hub has always required you to be signed in. However most devices would stay signed in unless you actively chose to sign out. So, when you watched Emmerdale your device simply remembered that you were already signed in, explaining why you didn't need to bother doing so.

However ITV Hub is now transitioning to ITVX, which your device sees as a separate service. It therefore no longer thinks that you're signed in, thus requiring you to do so again. (Your existing username and password should still work but you can always sign up again if necessary).

I cant get ITV hub - I get the adverts and then it goes blank and gives an error code
for whch they arenot responsible apparently
