Thought it was totally boring, surprised at Sean Bean agreeing to take part. Anyone else agree?

I kept watching to the end as I thought I was having some sort of hallucinogenic experience. This was way, way, beyond bad; totally unbelievable dialogue, the main characters looked embarrassed, and not once did I believe they were a couple. Why the black daughter?
Damn ! I was looking forward to that…now I won’t bother :(
Surprised some of you don't seek out a synopsis of any new series. Had you bothered to do so, you would have realised that nothing much happens and that it's just a 12 day slice of a couple's relationship. One in which he has just lost his job while she is going places. Her boss is a young, dynamic character, and Ian believes he has his sights set on Emma. Paranoia sets in.
The couple lost a young son and it may be that she cannot conceive again. So i'm guessing the black daughter is by way of adoption or fostering?
Watched 2 episodes and i will most likely watch the final 2 - maybe in the afternoon when i'm stuck for something to do. Wouldn't recommend it, but also wouldn't try and put anyone off 2 very good actors expertly plying their trade.
Agreed, but I've continued to watch. It has rave reviews!!!! ? Such a good cast. So am hoping it will improve. Husband's given up.
I recorded it. I’ll delete it.
And you've now told me Ken! Grrrrrr. Yes daughter is adopted.
You can tell how interesting it is by the fact I'm browsing AB!
I like the review in The Independent :-)

"Marriage is being disgusted by the holes in your husband’s boxer shorts. Marriage is judging your spouse for buying the “wrong” chicken. Marriage is showing your partner solidarity about the absurd prices of airport ketchup. Marriage is interrupting foreplay to put the dishwasher on. In short: marriage is boring. And at four hours long, BBC1’s new family drama, Marriage, more than mirrors that fact."
Right that's enough!!! End of part 2. To the side and around and around.
And around and around ......
Now rewatching A Star is Born just to ogle Bradley Cooper!
As the great Sean says often on Eight Out Of Cats Does Countdown - "***!"
Rhymes with 'fast cards'.
Marriage is totally boring ?
I always suspected so.
Ken, don't waste another 2 hours of your life like I've just done.
It ended as boring as it began but I stuck with it as I felt sure it would improve but believe me, it doesn't.
I would say it's the worst 4 hours of television I've ever watched.
I've set it to record because I'm a fan of Sean Bean, but I did actually watch a few minutes of it and I thought 'NOPE'. Cancelled the recording - sorry Sean !
Being a huge SB fan I watched it but gave up - and watched episodes of Sharpe instead.
Thanks everyone. I too recorded it but won't bother now. I am always dubious about new dramas because non of them seem to be any good. I seem to spend all my time watching whodunnit repeats which are very good because I can never remember whodunnit!!!
MissT I recorded that version of A Star is Born last Christmas and still haven't watched it, I must get round to it !
Marriage gets 5 stars in today's DM. Odd.
