I can't stand them; I'm terrified of them and I strongly disapprove of them on environmental grounds. That's why I never drive and never tread on little insects in case they release CO2 at the moment of death.

Yes. You still get it on long haul. Totally unnecessary on shorter fights. I can recall getting fed on flights from London to Spain, Italy, Germany and the like. Complete waste of time.

In the late 80s/early 90s I used to fly regularly from Newcastle to Paris with Air France. Although it was only a 90 minute flight they brought around a meal and a small bottle of wine. Very civilised. I was gutted when Air France stopped flying from Newcastle.

OK, I know it's not flying but the at-seat catering service in Standard Premier class on Eurostar is remarkably good and they don't hold back on the champagne either ;-)

Well yes I remember because it was February of this year. As NJ says it's still normal with long haul.

I used to fly Manchester to Heathrow with BA. In the past, we got a biscuit and a drink but no more. The last time I flew, it was a trolley with over priced M&S snacks.

Flown to Adelaide with both Emirates and Singapore Airlines,both absolutely superb for Service and Meals.
