a stick of celery in my bloody mary
Question Author
Wow, who’d do that haha , I like the odd JD builder :0)

That’s a new one woof
Ginger nut dunked in tea for me, Peter prefers a Hob Nob.

I know better than to have biscuits in my house...so no dunking here.
If I'm dunking it has to be a plain biscuit preferably rich tea or a ginger nut. I can't bear the thought of dunking a flavoured or chocolate bikkie!
Celery in a Bloody Mary is traditional.
The whole idea of dunking anything just makes me gag. Yuk.
Question Author
Never heard of it before Pasta
I bet you don't drink Bloody Marys ;)
Question Author
No, although I know it’s vodka and tomato juice which I wouldn’t fancy anyway
It has been a good boozy drink to have at brunch...or as a hangover cure. I've always liked it.
Question Author
Yeah I knew it was good for a hangover, I’d heard that , it was the celery I’d never heard of
When I was in New Jersey....goodness, 30 years ago, a bar favourite was a proper Bloody Mary with celery salt and a splash of worcester, the stirrer was a stick of celery and a soft pretzel with yellow mustard on the side.
My favorite mixer, when I imbibed, was a Bloody Mary. I never used a stick of celery cos that displaces the amount of vodka you put in the glass. A scientific approach to drinking! Tabasco a drop, loads of Worcestershire and a pinch of celery salt.
I used to carry the last three in my holiday 'grab bag'. Irocked up at an all inclusive in Turkey. Oceans of vodka and no Tomato juice:-(
We got some in a local mini-market :-)
