Sky Q - Recording More Than 1 Week In Advance

Is there any way to set Sky to record a program 9 days ahead of it being shown?

If it is part of a series you can set the recorder to series link. Otherwise it looks as if you can only go forward 7 days to set the recorder.

If you have Sky go, you can do it remotely, we did a couple of things from abroad in October.

It is a series, but it only starts next Sunday evening and I go on holidays this Sunday morning!

Unless things have changed since this thread was published 13 years ago, there's no way of doing what you want other than using a workaround of using manual recording configured to 'weekly'. i.e. if you want to record a programme from 2000 to 2100 on the Sunday after next, set the recorder manually to record at those times on this coming Sunday (even though you don't actually want anything recorded on that day) and on a weekly basis thereafter:

This seems to suggest that Sky have dropped the 'manual record' facility from Sky Q boxes:

So it seems that you might be trying to do the impossible :(

Perhaps the programme will be available on catchup TV anyway?

If you have a smartphone you can set your SkyQ to record with that, wherever you are in the world.

Ubasses and hc4361 - I didn't think about Sky Go, but that's exactly what I'll do. So I have a reminder set on my phone for the middle of the week and I will use Sky Go to set it to record. Thanks
