Someone bought you a fairly expensive 24 day advent calendar and said, sorry, but that's your Christmas present, how would you feel?

If the calendar was something that the other person thought you would enjoy, and contained items they thought you'd use / be happy with daily?

For example.. A make up advent calendar, or a body shop one.

Would you be a bit fobbed you'd nothing to open on the "special day"?

They're all lovely and of course you are to a point paying way over for the pretty packaging but still fun if you can afford it.

I have wondered that too, there's a jewellery one my niece would love but she would be so upset with nothing to open on the day

Buen that is a good example! And if you say you'd be grateful then that's good :)

Chelle that is the issue! Yet some of these calendars reach 1K!!!!!
If I though it came from person's heart, I'd be just as thankful. Wouldn't bother me.
I'd be really grateful, I haven't opened an advent calender since a kid... I was so excited. On the day not bothered one iota about not opening a door.
Open everything a day late open the first on the second etc...
I wouldn't say no to the whisky one either
Lol my husband is doing this for me - although he doesn't think I know!! He has got me the gin one - however he knows me too well so has also got me something small to open on the day!
I'd be thrilled, there are some lovely ones out there.

What one would you like Mamy?
I don't do xmas presents (cash for the kids) so my son bought me a Yankie candle advent calendar. I was really happy with it.

I should have looked at more photos.. brewdog, goose, (i aint keen on goose)
I love advent calendars and I'd be pretty happy wit that, there's an expensive but fabulous perfume one I've been hinting about but that's so far over his head I reckon it'll hit Mars before it ever sinks in.
I'd be happy with it but if it's you thinking of giving this to someone, I'd also have a small inexpensive fun pressy for Christmas day itself, just to stave off the possibility of them being disappointed not having anything to open.

There is a good NYX one Kval but My Ms already has all the NYX lip things, but she'd love the eye shaddows, the Mac one is like £200
The Dior advent looks mental
Am I the only person here who's never given or received an advent calendar in their life?
I'd be happy with a home made one.

This is quite nice though.
