If anyone is, like me, itching to read the book but reluctant to do so because they don’t want to spoil the television series for themselves ….. good news. I am reliably informed that the book covers only the first series …. so we won’t know the real ending until we’ve watched the complete production. Buying the book as we speak!!

Ladybirder, he's clearly a man with a problem.
Question Author
Oh, and Ladybirder. I've started reading it ..... gripped from the beginning. Superb writing.
I'm really pleased you're enjoying it Naomi. Nice and relaxing is it LOL? x
Question Author
Well .... I wouldn't say that. :o)
Naomi I was looking through a copy of the DM in a cafe today and was really put out to read that their "Pick of the Day" for tomorrow's television viewing included Countryfile and the Antiques Roadshow and NOT The Handmaid's Tale. What a liberty!
Question Author
Safe pickings. Lazy work from the critics I'd suggest - or they're really on holiday and not watching at all.
Wow! What an episode. My head is reeling.
Question Author
Arrgghhhh! Don't!!! I've not seen it! We've had a really busy day and my husband - who's also following it - fell asleep so I recorded it.

Was it good? I want to know ..... but don't tell me .... if you know what I mean! :o/
I thought I had missed an episode so looked on line and made the mistake of watching a trailer for the series finale.

I think it is a fantastic series and can’t wait for the next one.

Although it looked like he had been shot and killed I think Nick has started an escape plan. There is someth8ng going on with him and the older boss bloke who I think is in charge.

How much guts does Offred have to push when the consequences could be death.
Oh *** sorry Naomi your post wasn’t there when I started.
That explains why you were posting during the programme. So much happens. I'm not going to say anything except it's a series of incidents one after the other. Hurry up and watch it please;-))
^^ See what I mean.
Very powerful episode
Question Author
Not to worry, Cassa. I don't think Nick is what he appears to be.

Ladybirder, tonight ... hopefully.
Praise be Naomi. You say you don't think Nick is what he appears to be. We know he is servant and spy in the Waterford household. We know when Fred Waterford wanted him moved the request was refused and soon after he was forced into marriage. Are you thinking there is something else going on that we are not seeing? Or, like me, that like June, he wouldn't be there if he had a choice?
Question Author
I'm thinking he is working for the rebels...
Yep. Praise be we don't see him hanging from a bridge:-(
Question Author
Oh no! I didn't think of that! No, he's far too smart ... isn't he? :o/
Oh I hope so, I think he's lovely.
Do let us know when you've watched last night's episode.
Question Author
I shall.
