Is he dead? I must have missed that.

I take it you’re not a fan, jackdaw.

It’s a Grammy salute to his wonderful music by a lot of the great musicians in Madison Square Garden.
Don't have a TV and cant stand the fat Diva anyway, so not missing nothing as usual!
No, it's just that I always associate 'tribute' with 'deceased'.
If you don't have a TV, Nailit, have you ever had any problems convincing TV Licensing of that?
I started watching it but it's all a bit "R 'n' B" for my taste. This pair murdering "Don't Go Breaking My Heart" was the last straw.

When I DID have a TV I never had a license anyway. Never had a problem. Just didn't let TV licensing officers into my property.

How can you not like Elton John’s music, Nailit?

I must admit some of the renditions are not as good as the originals but then, nobody can copy the original.
Didn't say that I cant stand his music though did I chrissa?
I said that I cant stand HIM.

I still love Gary Glitter's music but cant stand him...

Ok. But, it’s his music I was enjoying, not him. :)
Goodgoalie...
I still get the usual threatening letters but do what ive always done (even when I had a tv), put them in the bin. And when tv licensing call, tell them to come back with some evidence and no, they cant come in to check so jog on.

Fair play chrissa :-)
My mates probably taped it anyway so will probably end up seeing some of it at some point.
I love Elton John and would much rather listen to him singing than any low-grade wannabes. I'd put a CD on instead (yes, I'm very old-fashioned).
I like Elton. I met him once - I ate some of his 50th birthday cake. He does seem to have a bit of a temper but he calms down quickly. He has been around for the whole of my life and there has always been an Elton song that has reminded me of certain times.

I couldn’t agree more, 237. My late husband and I both loved his music and we had all his LPs. We saw him Live many times, the best one being at the Royal Albert Hall with a full orchestra behind him. It was the best concert I’ve ever been to and I include The Beatles twice too in that list.
