My personal faves are Die Hard and Lethal Weapon, so far each of these movies have been outstanding with there all there follow ups being equally good - which is quite rare in most trilogies and franchises these days

You can't go wrong with a bit of Back to the Future
Question Author

The original Back to the Future was a classic 80's family comedies all time - I loved it. But trilogy wise, I felt the second part was a little weak.

id agree with the diehard movies also godfather and (slightly sad) the scream movies.

Lord Of The Rings has to be one of THE great film trilogies!

Isn't Lethal Weapon a quartet???

And Die Hard 4 is being made?

Question Author
Yes, Die Hard 4 is being made although i think the're kind of pushing it with the 4th - Willis is a bit worn and torn to reprise his role after 10 years since the last Die Hard. But then again, John McTierman (the director) must know what he is doing if he is directing.

El Mariachi, Depserado and Once Upon a Time in America.

Dirty Harry -  Looks like Clint's making a sixth one.
Where did you get the info about Dirty Harry??? It's not true.
Question Author
I enjoyed Desperado, never seen El Mariachi seen Once Upon a Time in Mexcio and never understood it as the film was simply overloaded with characters with so many things going in the film.
El Marichi is the best, I had to watch Once Upon a Time twice to understand anything!

My mistake, Dirty Harry will be a video game!
Question Author

Matrix would of been a classic all time trilogy if it didn't confuse the hell out of me when i got to the 3rd part of it - noisy, confusing, boring and overbearing.

The original "introductory" Matrix was more than enough for me. Its a sci fi classic.
