I recently brought a film on DVD and its said on the back "Widescreen 1.85:1". I played and it wasn't wide screen. I was expecting the "Letterbox" view on my TV and I also tried to set it this way but didn't work. Why is this ? I always thought widescreen meant the "letterbox" vew or the black bars on the top and bottom of the screen showing fill picture. Any ideas ?
