gromit: "She thought she owned the road," - no chance she was not in a BMW.

She thought she owned the road, but didn't even have a road traffic licence.

Good
Excellent news. I think Jezza did very well to keep his cool. I'm not sure i would have.

I might have been tempted to slap her face, to calm her down, although I would probably got into trouble for that. I hope she is a good, well behaved lady, when she goes before the Beak next month !
although I would probably got into trouble for that.

although?
divebuddy - //I wonder if the police would have done the same follow up if it had been Joe Bloggs rather than Vine. //

I am sure that Mr Vine's profile had no bearing.

The justice system doesn't take kindly to prosecutions being brought on the basis of the popularity of the victim, it prefers hard evidence on which it can prosecute and convict - which is what happened here.
Talbot - //although I would probably got into trouble for that.

although? //

Has someone appointed you Grammar Policeman?

It is a routine courtesy extended by almost everyone on the AB that simply grammatical errors and typos are ignored, because pointing them out wastes space and derails the thread.

Andy.........in a world where the Police can't even bother to investigate burglaries, you would have to be an extraordinary optimist to believe what you have just said.

I am sure that Mr Vine's profile had no bearing.

How on earth can you be sure?
I know from experience that it may well have had a bearing

What are you going on about?
You two need to get a room.
^Mikey and andy-hughes I mean.

I don't know what they're on about either, Talbot.

Thanks Andy !

What are you thanking andy for?

Let's hope she treats other road users better in the future.

Mamy...from the little we have seen, on the video, she appears to have huge personality problems, with a great difficulty in controlling her foul tongue, and even fouler temper. Its going to take more than a fine and a finger-wagging from the Beak to alter that very much IMHO.
You added an 'although' 'a matter of fact' mikey

My 'although' was to question the matter of fact bit ... because I believe there would not have been a 'probably got into trouble'

you would have got into trouble!
btw

What grammatical error did you believe I was highlighting, andy?
