I love Christmas, seeing my family who I don't see throughout the year because we're all too busy working, but I hate all the planning of food, presents etc. that seems to take months since OH is in charge.

It could be done in 2 days, really.

I hate the pressure that is loaded on people to buy gifts. It's a sad time for people who don't have much money to spare. The season of guilt trips...

ummmm, my family only buy Christmas gifts for the under 18s, and then not expensive ones (except the parents, obviously). We celebrate birthdays with gifts and Christmas with good food and family time. It works for us.
