Glow plug light comes on while driving and car stops.Will restart and drive ok for a while......any ideas? Anybody else have the same?

Try the fuel pump. I had very similar problem, and it was caused by grime and rubbish from using cheapo supermarket petrol.

If the car was formerly a courtesy car, run on empty most of the time, or if you run it down very low each time, the gunk blocks the filters and damages the pump.

Have found the answer to my problem....chaffed wires on the wiring loom where it runs over the gearbox
