Never liked the original, so like Sandy, I haven't bothered with it. Also, like Baldric, I prefer to switch off anything with Johnny Vegas in, even QI.
I was surprised at Ronnie Barker stuttering, as it seemed he (or his character) was poking fun at people who stutter. That's how it came over to me, anyway.

Didn't Ronnie Barker also have a comedy character who had very poor eyesight? He was of a different time with different standards.

Having seen a lot of 1970's re runs of programmes i thought funny, it seems humor perhaps moves on and remakes don't translate well into contemporary situations. .

I think its terrible, and surprised David Jason agreed to take part.

There is not many TV programmes that are successful 2nd time around, bit like Jaws the movie 2nd, 3rd were crap.
