I think the female celebrities have a huge advantage in this, as they can be led by the professional male dancers. The male celebrities have it harder as they have to lead the pro women dancers - much more difficult!

You're right as far as the ballroom dances are concerned but I think women have the advantage in dances like the jive.

I'm sure Kristina (for one) will be able to hold her own and steer Simon in the right direction! Who will go out this week is anyone's guess. Think it could be Mark.

Eh? My point was that the women celebrities have an advantage in the waltzathon, which will be worth a lot of points.

I know what you mean brainiac and yes the female celebs will definitely have the edge as they have a pro male steering them around the floor. I just meant the the female pro's are capable of giving as good as they get! Should be interesting.

Yes all the couples on the floor at the same time. They get voted off by the judges one couple at a time. The last couple get the most points and that is added to the points they get for their 'normal' dance. Not very good at explaining!!

Yes, they are all dancing a waltz - at the same time. The worst performers will be 'gonged' off in order, the last couple standing get most points, the first pair told to leave the dancefloor, the least. Hence the advantage in the female celebrities having male profs to lead them!

Thanks, both. I remember them doing the same thing in previous series.

I did prefer it in the 'old days' when half the couples danced one dance and the other half a different dance each week. It is far easier to judge who is the better when they are performing the same dance.
