I enjoy watching these past Top of the pops on Thursday nights on BBC4 but what happens when Jimmy Saville is the host? I presume they dont show it and what about DLT? I know he hasnt been found guilty but then again are his shows removed as well? These shows will soon run out of sinc with the time of year and that was supposed to be one of the attractions of repeating them, same time, same month.

How many no 1 hits did Gary Glitter have? They'd have to scrub the shows featuring him.

err, no they didn't Sandy - not only did they not scrub the show, or edit aforementioned Mr Gadd from the shows, but they robustly defended their decision by saying that the hits of Gary Glitter are a prominent part of pop history, and it's wasn't their job to re-write the past.
