It was a cringe making show, too many gaps where no one was speaking or the next act not quite ready. Alex Jones telling wee Ronnie " with me" and pulling him over to the side, so they could have excruciating 'chat' to fill in some dead time. Alfie Boe was very upfront! He admitted he was ready to leave but she had dragged him out for more 'chat'. I think Smokey was on...

bit like Scotland then - seen better days.
How old's Smokey Robinson now?

Muted Ronnie Corbett, Boy George and the Welsh Bird, otherwise ok.

Smokey is 74
I've never seen such a load of crap! First I wondered what a bouncy castle was doing on the Esplanade, then realised it was the stage hiding the magnificent backdrop already there, then a Welsh presenter on a Scottish show, and NO Scottish musical talent at all ( of which there are plenty out there) I've seen better organised school concerts........but at least Alex could say 'castle' and 'Glasgow' properly........yes,I have an off switch but kept thinking it might improve......... A total insult to the Scots and to the venue.
Sounds like I didnt miss much...
The South African opera singer Pumeza was brilliant - really brilliant!
Alex Jones and Adrian Chiles, two of the most overrated presenters of all time!
I'm watching it now....paloma, Jesse j, alfie boa (sigh) and Ella Henderson all good .....still on ..more to come...
Can't stand her voice at any time.
Shame her dress didn't fall off when Corbett stood on it and apparently tore it. Now that would have been a comic moment. Her voice, the equivalent of a Caerphilly cheese grater, one that is blunted at best and therefore just about useless.

The organisers could have done a far better job in their star line up and had folk just from the Commonwealth and more emphasis on the Scots. Agree about losing the Castle....that South African singer was amazing - first time that I had seen her.
I like paloma' s style.....il divo on now....Good...American band I enjoyed too...agree there should have been more emphasis on the Scottish theme though !
African soprano...fab !
I was sorry I had forgotten to record this concert but it seems I haven't missed much according to some of our AB critics. I was at a local cinema watching Andre Rieu's 10th anniversary concert at Maastricht (shown in selected cinemas worldwide). It was as usual fantastic esp the 9 year old singer who won Holland's Got Talent. Really marvellous to see thousands of people enjoying themselves.
well by and large I enjoyed it..agree the presenter wummin was rubbish and there should have been more of a Scottish theme
I only watched part of this but Alex Jones really got on my nerves. She came across as amateurish and quite wooden.
I like Paloma Faith but I did wince at a few notes she missed.
Ronnie Corbett should have stayed at home - he has lost the plot.
poor wee Ronnie....ah ..bless !
I suggested Lorraine Kelly would have presented that better, my partner said Frankie Boyle would have made a better job!
Ronnie Corbett in a world of his own, Boy George in cloud cuckoo land and as for Smokey Robinson he was like a tailors dummy trying hard to move. Like everyone else I could not understand why they did not have a scottish presenter. Total rubbish.

He admitted he was ready to leave but she had dragged him out for more 'chat'. I think Smokey was on auto pilot. Before Jessie j came on, he seemed to be asking if he should start Tracks on my Face. Tragic. It was as if the weather knew the night would be a shambles and did its best to blot it out. To be fair, my daughter was there and she enjoyed it.
