My brother claims that Tony Hart, the famous kids' tv presenter was once chairman of the Legalise Cannabis movement. I find this hard to believe! Anyone able to prove it one way or the other?

No he wasn't, but he does appear on the "roll" of honour for Release (an organisation who provide advice to drug users, their families, friends, and statutory and voluntary agencies).

He did create the Blue Peter logo though and initially wanted �1 every time it appeared, he settled for �100 - a considerable sum at the time - as a flat fee, but had he got the �1/time he would be a very rich man indeed. Maybe he contemplates that whilst rolling up....
