Disgusting Corrie.

Is it just me or is Corrie becoming more like a gay porn movie every week?
Its disgusting!! What ever happened to the watershed?

But the Producer, who happens to be gay, says: “There is no gay soapbox, we’re just telling stories about love. And the ­audience want to see that, I believe.”


So there you have it. Six gays in the street - is that enough or should there be more?

Oh dear.....I thought we were getting past all this homophobic behaviour... seems not.

We may have more than a few gay couples in my family but thank goodness we are a happy and not bitter family.

Jim - I think the problem is for some of us older viewers - in our younger days because it wasn't spoken about publicly, it now seems very abnormal behaviour to us being shown blatantly on our TV screens. We know gay relationships have always existed but they were far more discreet years ago, now they are just the opposite, TV producers for example, seem to take great delight in making some people feel uncomfortable.

It's all very covertly done. Personally, I don't think there are enough men dressing as women on Corrie, there are loads around here. However, we have never had a tram knock anyone over and there's not many murders here either - so they should be banned. Oh, and they need some Polish and Portuguese people, Corrie needs some of them as there are quite a few Polish and Portuguese people who live here.

Ann....much as I love you the word was persecuted...not discreet...and I promise you my gay relatives really aren't abnormal...nor behave in an abnormal way.....
We're normal people who love each other.......well except for the sister maybe.....on both counts....but I think she's straight.....☺

Gness, I'm not falling out with anyone about this - I just think we are all different and are all entitled to our own opinions. I'm not saying gay people are not nice characters, in fact they are often nicer people than straight, I worked with many in my career and we got on really well. Its just that I don't want to see such a lot of it on my soaps, its getting too much at the moment.

Caran, I agree Todd IS creepy now, they have really changed his character over the years since he started in Corrie. I used to like him and Sarah Louise, he was so kind and gentle to start with.

Ann.....If people complain about gay relationships being broadcast but are not bothered by heterosexual relationships we haven't come very far.

And as for not wanting children to see it......that just perpetuates intolerance.

I just hate to see people.....in this case gays.....being hurt by such attitudes........x

Ann I too have watched from day one. I reckon I have only missed 5 episodes since the start. I record when away, brilliant to come home to three weeks of Corrie to catch up on!
