I have read (somewhere) that High Definition TV is to be launched in the UK next year. This will upgrade our current 625 line to over 1000. Does anybody know any more details? I understand HD TV has been the States for some years now.

Also anybody thinking of buying a new TV should take care to ensure it will be capable of displaying the new format.
