i cant tell u the name but i can tell u an interesting thing about it,

according to an insider for the advertising agency commisioned to produce the advert, the original idea was to have bradley walsh from coronation street play the role of the mountaineer coming down the mountain to say "Nice car mate" This was also confirmed by Bradley Walsh himself at a press conference he was giving about a comedy act he was partaking in recently.

He had agreed to do it for a 100K sum of money but as the advert was due to go into production the bosses of coronation street denied him time off from filming his scenes to go and fly abroad to the advert location to do the advert. They were then only given 3 weeks with which to find a replacement and film it. They decided to go to casting agents and look for look-a-likes of Bradley and found the actor that now appears in the advert and asked Bradly to provide the voiceover carefully dubbed over the lookalike actors voice. They then paid Bradley a reduced fee of 25k for vocal rights, and a further 25k to the lookalike and saved approx 50K in costs. They then proceeded to air the advert during coronation street mid show advert slot for a week much to Bradley's amusement.

According to a previous post, ROSEKERR had emailed Vauxhall and got an answer back saying it is a stuntman called PETER HORNTON
