Does anyone else think that this series of Downton is not nearly as good - it seems to be too miserable and unrealistic. Who really proposes that quickly? It used to be a pleasant hour of Sunday night escapism and now it is more like Eastenders...

I also cannot get over how the family speak to the servants, it seems unrealistic.

I love it, but also concur with dotty, they wouldn't really speak so cosily to the servants, but it's make believe, I know!!!
