Has anyone heard how long they think this hot spell will last please?

Quite a while yet! Seems as if the weekend should be comparatively cool, but then back to hot again next week.

I heard until the end of August, but then again the same body who said that promised us a barbecue summer last year and the year before, and earlier this year warned we were in for a damp, soggy and cold July this year.

I honestly think at times the Met Office just play 'spin the bottle'

I trust my own forecasting. I look out of the window at the sky and decide, do I need an umbrella or my sun glasses. Works every time.

You can't beat the old seaweed test, just hang it outside the door and if it's wet it's raining and if it's dry it isn't.
