Just have to say this is one of the best films I have seen in ages, really really good, Michael Douglas and Matt Damon are superb. Just a sad love story really.

I thought it was great too. I didn`t realise what a good actor Michael Douglas is. It was funny too - I liked Matt Damon as the mad cosmetic surgeon.

No Matt Damon was Scott, Rob Lowe was the (gorgeous) mad plastic surgeon!! You had better watch it again!

I was expecting a character assassination of Liberace but he came across as a quite lonely man who genuinely loved his audiences.

Yes but this is all the story line from Scott, who knows what the truth was.

Isn't this based on very dark subject matter i.e. Liberace forcing his boyfriend to have plastic surgery to look like him?

Based on their love really and yes the surgery came into it, but as one of the characters says, "he wants to make you look better and younger? whats wrong with that?"

Very fragile ground but as far as I can tell it has been handled well.

I have just viewed this film and thoroughly enjoyed it ! Great acting all round, lots of well known actors in it too some I didnt recognise until the end (Dan Akroyd/RobLowe) but very well done. Liberace may have been a tart but what a fantastic pianist!!
