Can anyone remember a film from - probably - the 80s. There was a scene where two rough type girls brought a couple of lads back to their place and the lads put on a tape which played Otis Redding singing Try a Little Tenderness. They just stood there very still while the girls didn't know what was going on. Know it's not much to go on but might jog someone's memory. Can remember the scene so well, but nothing else about the film at all.

And it was based in the north - I think the boys were like northern soul types. They stood very still with their hands clasped in front of them. I know, I know, but it's the best I can do!

My answer is wrong then. Pretty in Pink, made in 1986, had the song performed by Otis Redding; but it was an American film.
