Who Pays Dog The Bounty Hunter?

I confess to be fixated on Dog the Bounty Hunter and his family, but what I don't know is - who pays him, where does he earn from? Is is the Bail Bond folks like Bobby, do they pay him to chase up his abscondees- or, as all the team wear US police badges, are they paid by the police? Can anyone enlighten me, please?

I think the bond agencies pay the bounty hunters a percentage of what they would have lost if the person doesn't appear for court.

I used to watch it, I just couldnt help thinking that if Dog and his crew were seen walking down the street in the UK they would be the laughing stock!!

Like some sort of freaky cowboy show, just too weird to watch.
