I have enjoyed the series, although I find the lead character rather wooden and stilted. And yes, a second series has been commissioned.
Let's hope Rose can keep out of trouble in it, there are only so many times the Sergeant can rescue her!

I'm not sure if the accent and the period costume were major factors in his attractiveness!
