80's film - "Monstor" JCB in a flooded quarry?? HELP!!

Hi there film fans... does anyone remember a film from the 80s where some kids think there's a monstor in a flooded quarry that turns out to be a long-armed JCB that;s bucket fills with air and "roars" to the surface... if you can name this you are a genius!

An Australian film called Frog Dreaming (aka The Quest); released in 1986. Directed by Brian Trenchard-Smith starring Henry Thomas as Cody, a 14 year old boy living in the Australian outback who sets out to discover the truth about the monster in the quarry!

Sorry - I remember this film...but for the life of me I can't remember the name.  Been searching on Google for ages and still can't find anything...it's bugging me now!!  I remember it being a typical US kids 80's adventure film.
