I looked on the Radio Times site but couldn't find it scheduled within the next 10 days. What channel is it on? I've never heard of it.
Pity you don't hear as much about the war in the far east as you do the war in Europe, so much so that the old boys who served there considered themselves "The Forgotten Army",yet they fought and won some of the hardest battles of the war often at very close quarters. At Kohima for instance some of the bitterest fighting of the war took place across the commissioners tennis court.Gentlemen, I salute you.

Paddywak, Yes, the soldiers were called 'The forgotten Army'. My father-in-law was killed there and because of that he never got to see his son who was born nine months after his Christmas leave. So very sad & tragic. There is a programme on tomorrow night all about the Retreat from Kohima which I shall watch with my husband.
