Anyone remember the name of a really naff kids music programme from the 80's (i think). It was presented by Roy North (Mr Roy from Basil Brush - showing me age ain't i), and he had this annoying habit of saying "thanks fellas, that was really chunky" after the band (whoever they were) had done their stint.

I think the programme you are thinking of is " Get it Together " more 70s than 80s if I recall

I remember this - it was definately seventies. Roy North was really embarrassing trying to be hip and cool!

I also remember he used to join in sometimes - He was sat in the back of a pretend car with two girls and mimed along to "Hugging and a kissing with Fred"

I can't hear that song without seeing his big fake-smiley gob and it still makes me cringe just thinking about it!

Thanx elframo - brilliant, which is more than can be said about the show, it really was dire. I seem to remember the said Mr North even singing something himself at the end of the programme. Crap makes it sound better than it actually was.
