Hiya guys this isn't a personal dig at the site as ive used it for many years, i would still use it but only for personal adverts, ive just spent over an hour typing out an advert for the site and i wasn't aware they now separate business and personal adverts?
I did however look at the site for "Business Adverts" & couldn't see a thing? so i went to create the ad uploaded a single pic and processed the payment of £18 jobs a good un i thought?
Wrong it took Gumtree 4 hours to send me an email stating my advert was of a business nature and so for that they have deleted my advert?? i lost all the text & whats more annoying is that they are now telling me i have to wait up-to a week for the payment to be returned back to me?? Well im sorry i needed that money to use against another site! this is totally unprofessional of Gumtree and its weasel tactics to hold peoples money on the basis they wasnt aware the adverts where different?..."Words fail me" Can anyone suggest a more people focused website i can advertise on please?
thanks

waiting that length of time is not unusual for a refund. gumtree is great for personal selling ads and i have never had a problem....selling many things from £5 - £100 and never paid for an ad, ever. i wonder what you wrote that was different and deemed 'businessy'? can't help with a website, tho, sorry.

"icg" they deleted the add as it was as they say a business advert and not a personal one, thanks anyway ;-)
