Family Misfortunes

I've liked Sophie Ellis Bextor's music, but I now assume her career has hit the buffers cos she was on Family Fortunes tonight. What a comedown! As for her opponent Angela Rippon...I'm all for her and that squawky voice being put out to grass, along with Jennie Bond and Julia Somervile. Any thoughts?

I thought two things: (1) Angela Rippon was full of herself, and (2) Sophie may have got where she is because of her mum (like so many others with famous parents) BUT I could be wrong, and probably am!!!

I don't see that it's a comedown to be on family fortunes , thats the name of the game, 'celebrity' family fortunes.

I don't think Sophie got where she is because of her mum at all. She has a fantastic singing voice. Her mum was semi-famous in the mid 80's which wasn't exactly recently!

i didn't see a lot, but thought sophie looked like a waxworks, and didn't seem quite the ticket..
