I remember reading he's actually around 75 in real life, so maybe the age difference is not that great
I agree, a bit of sunshine amongst the murder storyline. I have always liked Dennis and think him and Rita are very well suited (and he doesn't look 75!).
blummin' 'eck, he looks younger than me and I'm only 58.
In Corrie years Dennis is nearly 70 and Rita was supposed to have turned 80 a couple of weeks ago, was there any mention? So yes, she's got herself a younger man! And a lovely one he is too.
I must admit I thought he was lovely 50 years ago, even though he was a rogue. He certainly is very lovely now Robinia.

Yes, great to see a happy storyline. It made me feel all glowing!!
I had a big grin on my face watching that last night and I very nearly came on here to comment on it! They make a lovely couple and I agree with everyone else, Dennis looks great for his age. Blimey, even mardy Norris smiled at the end !!!!!
The problem for me is that Rita's former husband (Len Fairclough) had the hots for Dennis's mother (Elsie Tanner), so it just doesn't ring quite true, age wise.
But in real life they're 75 and 78 respectively.
I'd marry him!!
Lol net, it's his good head of hair you like isn't it ???
Yes, but in all fairness I've always liked Dennis Tanner, btw, I also have a good head of hair!
I thought Rita and Elsie Tanner were friends years ago and were much the same age, Dennis is Elsie's son so surely he's meant to be much younger than Rita.
