Has anyone noticed this when they are going through the most wanted? Just a thought. Conclusion is less immigration would mean less crime. No doubt I will be shouted down by all those with their heads buried firmly in the sand.

Or it could be that these "wanted" are more difficult to trace.Unlike British nationals, they may have no extended family,or roots.I expect most are quite literally,"In the Wind"fugitives from justice.

Are they foreign or foreign looking, Dave?
I used to visit my nephew in jail many years ago. I noticed how rare his fair complexion and red hair was in the visiting rooms. I say rooms as it wasn't just one place.

How do you know they are 'foreign' by the name? a name is no guide to nationality.
grasscarp- wouldn't red hair be uncommon anyway in a room filled with random English/British people?
im with you dave, although i have noticed most of the pervs seem to be white british...
I live on the borders of east anglia and crime has gone through the roof in some areas most of the cuplrits names end in an 'oski' or similiar...
Boo I was trying to be diplomatic. He was usually one of the only British nationals. I could elaborate but won't. I don't want my answer removed.
Do you have actual figures of how many Crimewatch suspects are foreigners? I don't watch it so have no idea what the situation is.
I have known several English people who have foreign sounding surnames, is it possible these people you are talking about were the same?
Report from the commission for equality and human rights here , there are 7 times more black people in prison than would be expected from the number in the genral population. Also 12% of all prisoners are Muslim FAR higher than the general population.

I have worked inside prisons as a tutor and I know from my own expierience that there is a huge number more Muslims jailed that would be expected from the number living in the UK. One side effect is that all prisons now have to provide food suitable for Muslims at every meal, this is a major problem for prison chefs who have less than £2 per person per day to provide 3 hot meals.
I don't like to get involved in debates like this, but I'd just like to ask Scorpio a question:

"Plus the majority of immigrants and eastern europeans are doing the double ( i know this for a fact btw ) and sponging off our welfare system..."

Why haven't you reported them? As you know it for "a fact"?

"When theres pensioners dying from cold."

Are there? Where? Do you also know this for a fact? What have you done to attempt to help them?

"It sickens me to the pit of my stomach."

But you're not moved to act on any of these things?

This isn't a personal attack. I just see this kind of comment a lot, and don't know why people don't do anything?

People talk a lot about the idea that there's "no sense of community any more" - I can see that if nothing has been done by individuals in the above two cases then yes, community is dead.
Extrapolating from TV programmes may yield false results.

1. If you are friends with a crime-writer....you are likely to become embroiled in a murder-mystery.
2. If you live in a small community in a city you can purchase a house of any size within a matter of days regardless of your income.
3. The Houses of Parliament are visible from any window in London.
thats deep jackthehat!...but what does it mean?
I am horrified at the number of eastern europians in the news recently who are commiting murder or attempted murder , that poor woman who's partner tazered her and buried her nd the robber who tokk a lump hammer on aburglary. I suppose that in those war torn countries life is cheap and its suvrvival of the fittest so I agreee a more selective immigration would be good but I cant see it happening
What the Ed said, plus form my own personal anecdotal experience here, I was born in Welst Belfast- not many black people there to be honest, fairly healthy crime rate though. I now live in a small rural village- we have I think one black family in about a 10 mile radius- still stuff goes missing, cars are scratched, people have fights, get murdered etc.
Taking these figures you'd judge that all offenders are in fact white British- but like your generalisation that's not going to be accurate is it?
OH Yes! we have noticed this many times, the prisons here too are two thirds full of immigrants...
Until we ''join out'' of this stupid club ( EU) things aint going to get any better are they, oh for the days when immigration was under some sort of control.

Ron.
ron, 'immigration-control'

an oxymoron if ever I saw one.
