My Garth avatar won't change to the crimbo one

I've clicked on my profile anmd gone into the gravatar .com bit an piece and selected the Garth crimbo avatar but it won't change, I did this last week ann it didn't work then either. What is occurring?

Seems to be a problem with Gravatar. AB, and the hundreds of other site which use Gravatar, simply send a "give me the image associated with the following email address" message to Gravatar - it is up to Gravatar to keep that image updated.

Do a View Source and find the hyperlink which points to your Gravatar image...

ahhh, well, that might be a problem, it doesnm't give me a link when I click on propertiers but that is maybe cos it was the clever ABavatarfiddleaboutwiththem person that changed the globe garth was holdiong to a pudding and sent me the link.

Don't think it is dot. I've changed mine a couple of times in the last few weeks and neither have shown on here.

I think the problem is with answerbank and not gravatar, other gravatar sites display the correct avatar, this is the only place where there is a problem. How about a bigger nudge to the techies ed, possibly using your foot?

Dot, don't hold your breath - lots of people changed their avatars over a fortnight ago (might longer) and the new ones are still not showing on AB.

Hi dotty.....I think the truth is that AB has a problem and its Techies are at a loss as to how it can be rectified. Lots of questions have been raised on the matter....a few being:-

Looks like the problem hasn't gone away!

If you're desperate, do what I had to - open another Gravatar account - I used a different browser - then change to it in your AB settings.

Drastic, but effective.

Dotty, it's a really long standing problem - I updated mine about three weeks ago and it's still not showing. Ed's on the case, he said something about hoping for a solution this week. Loads of us have uploaded a christmas one - some show on profile but not on posts. It's a techie problem.
